After the Kambo session, it is important to follow a few instructions to fully support your healing process. Here are some guidelines, which I have found very beneficial:
- Hydrat: Drink plenty of water and other fluids to help flush out toxins which have been mobilized. This also compensates the dehydration which takes places when purging and defecating in the session.
- Rest: Allow yourself time to rest and recover after the Kambo session. Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may put additional stress on your body or mind.
- Diet: Eat nourishing and easily digestible foods, such as soup, porridge, and steamed vegetables, to support your body’s recovery. Also avoid meat and greasy food on the day of the session.
- Avoid alcohol and drugs: Refrain from consuming alcohol or other drugs for at least 24 hours after the Kambo session. This can interfere with the healing process and also gives you a chance to feel deeper into what the medicine actually shifts for you inside.
- Self-care: Love yourself physically, mentally and emotionally after the Kambo session. Practice self-care techniques, such as meditation, breath work, or a gentle form of movement to promote relaxation and reduce stress. I also recommend taking a cold shower.
- Follow-up: I will get in contact with you a day after the session and see how you are doing. However, please feel free to share and discuss any ongoing symptoms or concerns. That way we can determine if additional sessions are necessary and needed.
